High-yield webinar engagement strategies and teacher candidate professional learning

In response to the COVID-19 school closures in both K-12 and higher education, a group of education partners United States collaborated offer statewide webinar series, 12 webinars total, support preservice teachers as they worked complete their clinical hour requirements. The extension activities provided via Padlets covered topics associated with best practices related credential requirements such applying universal design for learning differentiating instruction. This study explored perceptions 248 regarding virtual professional format activities, well what felt needed future began first year teaching during COVID-19. Findings suggest were receptive through structured platform found helpful content. Their knowledge, sense preparedness, application strategies presented increased, relevant supported required practicum hours practice.
